About the role

The Quality Engineering Technician develops and operates quality control systems, applies testing and inspection procedures to ensure compliance, and audits quality systems to identify and correct deficiencies while maintaining knowledge of product quality and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Supports quality and production efforts by collecting data and using basic statistical and metrology methods to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
• Assists with product quality issues, corrective and preventive actions, and applies quality tools for data tracking and reporting (30%).
• Develops an understanding of Testing Methodology to apply to Product Specifications, utilizing testing results to evaluate production processes and support process improvements (20%).
• Ensures the creation of comprehensive work instructions by demonstrating technical writing skills, including the ability to create work instructions, labor estimates, reports, and proposals. Maintains accurate quality documentation and calibration records (20%).
• Assists with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and process audits. Interprets testing data against product specifications to assess process performance and recommend improvements (25%).
• May assist in training and communicating quality expectations to production teams (5%).

Requirements

• Knowledge and ability to develop and administer management information systems.
• Ability to use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices.
• Understanding of human factors and motivation.
• Analytical skills, computer skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge and familiarity with industry specifications, codes, standards, and quality tools.
• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate’s Degree (AA) preferred.
• 2+ years of experience required.

Pay

The wage range for this role is $52,160 - $78,140. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
