About the role

Vishay Thin Film is seeking a Quality Engineering Supervisor to lead, develop, and manage quality control activities ensuring compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory frameworks. This role is based in Niagara Falls, NY, a location known for its natural beauty, including nearby Niagara Falls.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Quality Control laboratory operations, personnel, and workflows, including monitoring KPIs related to quality performance, defect rates, and inspection effectiveness.
• Establish inspection, testing, and verification procedures for in-process and finished products.
• Ensure proper utilization, maintenance, and calibration of lab and inspection equipment.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Lead Measurement System Analysis (MSA) programs across manufacturing and inspection processes.
• Validate measurement systems for accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility.
• Train Engineering, quality, and production personnel on proper measurement techniques.
• Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems, including developing and monitoring systems for critical process parameters.
• Own and manage the customer complaint and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) process, ensuring timely and effective actions.
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
• Support customer audits, system assessments, and regulatory and compliance inspections.
• Interface with customers on system-level quality topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
• 4-6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a quality role.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong background in SPC, MSA, and statistical quality tools.
• Experience with customer complaint handling and CAPA systems.
• Ability to multi-task.

Pay

$85,000 - $95,000 annually.
