As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will conduct various engineering projects in one or more areas of Mechanical Engineering and/or Quality Engineering. Interns will gain exposure to and learn various aspects of engineering practices over a twelve to fifteen week experience. ITT interns also participate in our summer Career Readiness programming, which provides professional development and networking opportunities to equip you with the skill sets required to successfully transition from college to career.
Position Details
Position: Quality Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)
Location: Lancaster, PA
Major: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Academic Schedule: May to August 2027 (full-time, 40 hours per week)
Rate of pay: $25/hour
Essential Responsibilities
- Support daily business operations to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Investigate nonconforming product from internal or external sources.
- Trend data.
- Plan product disposition.
- Implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, purchasing, planning, engineering, customer service, and suppliers.
Position Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related field.
Required Skills
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to approach complex challenges with creativity and logic.
- Technical Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, test results, and technical documentation.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, trends, and best practices relevant to our products and markets.
