Quality Engineer - Wire & Cable Manufacturing - Mt. Holly, NJ
Job Description
Interpret and flow down customer quality requirements across internal teams.
Maintain and improve Quality Management System documentation in line with AS9100D and ISO standards.
Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured methodologies (PDCA, 5 Whys, 8D).
Develop inspection standards and train teams on heightened inspection processes.
Analyze quality KPIs, identify trends, and recommend improvement actions.
Manage nonconforming materials and coordinate resolution with operational teams.
Drive supplier quality initiatives, including corrective action requests and performance monitoring.
Support customer audits, source inspections, and quality documentation requirements.
Promote visual management and participate in daily operational huddles at the Gemba.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Experience with lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability in root cause analysis and corrective action (e.g., FMEA, 8D, Fishbone).
- Solid analytical and statistical skills, including process capability and trend analysis.
- Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams effectively.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. Person.
