Seeking a qualified engineer to oversee engine quality in repair and production, focusing on testing, inspection, and compliance with aviation regulations (Part 43/145 and Part 21). Perform engine and parts inspections, including visual, borescope, and measurements, ensuring timely release.Manage documentation for shipments and verify test plans align with design data, incorporating updates and changes.Support engine testing activities, review test methods, oversee calibrations, and address test system issues.Coordinate troubleshooting of engine failures, facilitate part investigations, and support root cause analysis.Ensure adherence to quality procedures, participate in process improvements, and support various quality activities. Qualifications Include Bachelor’s in aeronautics, mechanical engineering, or related field; applicable work experience considered.Minimum five years of repair station or production experience, with at least two in a test-related role.Knowledge of FAA Part 43/145, Part 21, technical documentation, and inspection tools.Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience with software (C/C++, LabView), ERP/MES systems (IFS, Solumina), and basic instrumentation understanding. Working conditions: Exposure to manufacturing environments requiring PPE, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and potential travel. Visual acuity and compliance with safety and DOT/FAA standards are essential.
