Quality Engineer Staff (Interview Day) - Grand Prairie, TX
About the role
The Quality Engineer Staff will lead the implementation of quality requirements for proposals and BOEs, conduct reviews of RFPs, contracts, and supplier deliverables, develop and maintain quality metrics and documentation, lead parts-review and corrective-action meetings with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance across hardware, software, and systems.
Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain quality metrics and documentation.
- Lead parts-review and corrective-action meetings with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Cookordination with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance across hardware, software, and systems.
Requirements
- Technical Engineering (STEM – Engineering / Science) degree at the Bachelor level or above.
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance - DOD Secret.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional quality‑engineering experience in aerospace or a closely related industry.
- Demonstrated experience with AS9100 Quality Management System, including: Performing First‑Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements, Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Dispositioning non‑conforming products/hardware, and Conducting root‑cause analysis using causal‑analysis tools and to develop/maintain inspection standards, work instructions, and procedures.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and working with tooling and test‑equipment manufacturing.

Skills
- Ability to create accurate, complete and competitive proposals and Basis‑of‑Estimate (BOE) documentation.
- Experience developing inspection methods, work instructions and procedures for manufactured products.
- Knowledge of configuration and data‑management practices.
- Understanding of audit processes and how to apply audit findings.
- Familiarity with industry‑recognized quality systems (e.g., ISO, NADCAP).
- Experience working with government customers and meeting contract requirements.
- Experience establishing performance metrics to identify and drive process improvement.
- Energetic self‑starter who collaborates effectively and resolves complex technical issues.
