Quality Engineer III

As a Quality Engineer III, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our Data Center Solutions value stream delivers products that meet the highest standards for performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Quality function and act as a primary liaison with customers, building strong relationships and confidence in our processes.
- Facilitate customer engagement at multiple levels, partnering proactively to address concerns and align on quality expectations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, operations, and suppliers — both inside and outside the organization.
- Support production teams to ensure high-quality, compliant products are delivered consistently and in accordance with established processes.
- Lead and participate in the defect reduction activities, driving timely disposition and corrective actions.
- Manage internal non-conformance reports (NCRs) and external quality issues, including customer complaints, from identification through resolution.
- Evaluate suspect or nonconforming materials, working with diverse teams to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Lead quality problem-solving efforts using Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies, including containment, root cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions.
- Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product launches, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, GR&R, Capability Studies, and First Article Inspections (FAI).
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
- 5+ years of experience with Manufacturing or Quality processes.
- Experience leading technical or production teams in a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Quality Certifications such as CQE, CMQ, CQA, and ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training are strongly preferred.
- Experience in process improvement, planning, Six Sigma, Lean training, and quality systems.
- Experience with optical, multi-sensor, and scanning inspection equipment (preferred).
- Experience supporting quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites (preferred).
Qualifications

Pay
Pay Transparency: nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range $76,000.00 - $141,100.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
