Quality Engineer III
Overview: Nakupuna Companies is seeking a Quality Engineer III to provide software testing, data collection and analysis, subject‑matter expertise, and mentorship supporting the execution of a large‑size, multi‑year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS‑A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). The role involves conducting quality testing on PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) deliverables, assessing software functionality through manual and, if necessary, automated testing, gathering and compiling test metric data, drafting and distributing functional reports, and collaborating within an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Review software requirements and specifications to develop and execute testing strategies for a product or release.
- Develop reusable test functions or components.
- Execute manual and potentially automated tests to assess software functionality and performance across multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.
- Identify, log, and track defects.
- Report technical issues to development or product management teams and verify fixes.
- Perform work under minimal supervision, handling complex issues and referring only the most complex to higher‑level staff.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group; may act as a lead or first‑level supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4–6 years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, IC, or private sector (preferred).
- Experience with software testing applications such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Tricentis Tosca, ALM, PeopleSoft, Workday, or other ERP systems (a plus).
Skills
- Certifications in IAT Level II and SAFe for Teams (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capability to translate customer requirements into team goals.
Clearance Requirements
Current Secret clearance required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Schedule
Hybrid work situation: 2 in‑office days per week.
Pay
Projected compensation range: $105,000.00 – $152,000.00 (annualized USD). This range reflects market‑based compensation and is one component of the total compensation package.
