Quality Engineer III
About the role
The Quality Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and continuous improvement. They will monitor and analyze production data, quality control systems, and critical points in the value stream to identify and address quality issues. The role involves leading root cause analysis, recommending corrective actions, and driving qualification of product and process changes to maintain high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers) to ensure product quality and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze production data, quality control systems, and critical points in the value stream to identify and address quality issues.
- Lead root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and drive qualification of product and process changes to maintain high-quality standards.
- Support audits, failure analysis, and reliability testing, while producing reports on nonconformance, quality trends, and root cause analyses.
- Review and approve quality-related document changes (ECOs, MCOs, deviations) and implement continuous improvement strategies using data-driven methods.
Requirements
Experience: AS9145/APQP knowledge/experience; 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing setting.
Knowledge: Knows and applies advanced concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program; Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals based on experience and judgment; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and outside professionals; Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Education/Certification: BA or BS degree in Quality, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lean Principles and Implementation Tools
- Education background in Structured Problem Solving, 5S, Mistake-Proofing and process capability tools
- Familiarity with Minitab
- ASQC Quality Engineer Certification

Pay
Salary range for QE III: $109,000 to $128,300.
Salary Range for QE IV: $129,300 - $152,700
