Job Summary

The Quality Engineer supports the implementation and continuous improvement of project quality management systems, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, applicable standards, and company procedures. This role contributes to quality assurance and quality control activities throughout construction execution, supporting the monitoring and improvement of project quality performance. The position works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and quality leadership to verify execution of quality processes, support audits, and contribute to the resolution of quality issues. The role also performs data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. In addition, the Quality Engineer supports the deployment of quality tools, reporting systems, and training initiatives, helping to strengthen quality culture and drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of Project and Site Quality Plans
  • Ensure alignment between contract requirements, project procedures, and subcontractor scope
  • Communicate quality standards, procedures, and requirements to project teams
  • Verify implementation of quality procedures across construction activities
  • Review quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Support development and follow-up of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Contribute to subcontractor quality monitoring and surveillance activities
  • Participate in internal and external audits (QMS, subcontractors, third parties)
  • Support management and follow-up of audit findings, NCRs, and observation reports
  • Verify implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality data and KPIs
  • Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities through data analysis
  • Support preparation of quality reports and presentations
  • Perform statistical analysis and support root cause investigations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality programs
  • Aid in development and tracking of quality training plans
  • Support deployment and use of digital quality tools and reporting systems
  • Provide quality support and guidance to project and site teams
  • Perform site and subcontractor audits

Compliance / Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Project Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO-based standards
  • Maintain alignment with contract requirements and regulatory expectations
  • Support adherence to quality processes across project execution
  • Promote quality culture and awareness across project teams
  • Ensure proper use of quality tools, systems, and databases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 8–10 years of experience in quality roles in LNG plant construction
  • Strong understanding of quality procedures, standards, and management systems
  • Working knowledge of quality processes across multiple project phases
  • Proficiency in quality tools and systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural or related discipline)
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Knowledge of FERC regulations
  • Familiarity with ACI, ASTM, ASCE, AISC, AWS, AASHTO, and NFPA standards
  • Understanding of construction codes, regulations, and site practices
  • Role-specific knowledge & skills
