About the role

The Quality Engineer will develop, implement and direct quality systems to prevent or eliminate defects and ensure quality assurance is incorporated throughout all systems and processes. This role supports the implementation and maintaining of Lean Manufacturing Systems and other Greenheck Group initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the implementation and sustain a quality management system to define areas of responsibility, operational policies and procedures, record keeping requirements, training requirements, process and product qualification, validation and monitoring.
  • Assist with quality management systems, policies and procedures and support manufacturing and ensure customer satisfaction and expectations, and the attainment of product requirements.
  • Attend meetings to establish, delineate and review quality assurance program organizational policies, coordinate functions and operations between departments and establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
  • Aid in technical problems and procedures of departments and recommend solutions to problems or changes in procedures to enhance overall quality of processes and systems.
  • Support continual improvement efforts while maintaining records for corrective and preventive action as it relates to manufacturing processes and customer complaint processes.
  • Implement training and programs for business unit and provide feedback for any training improvements.
  • Ensure that the product audit program effectively monitors, evaluates and reports on product quality.
  • Work jointly with purchasing to establish expectations of supplier quality, evaluate suppliers, issuing and maintaining reports on supplier performance.
  • Obtain, analyze and respond to customer feedback regarding quality and technical issues.
  • Administer internal quality audits and coordinate external audit process.
  • Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
  • Provide input regarding the quality assurance metrics for performance improvement.
  • Provide input regarding quality of materials, components, and assemblies if they do not meet design and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in quality assurance required
  • 4 Year / bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of job experience required
  • Experience in coils or related manufacturing preferred
  • ASQC Certified is a plus
  • Working knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 certification preferred
  • Experience with Lean or six sigma methodology preferred
  • Experience with root cause corrective action preferred

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in quality assurance required
  • 4 Year / bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of job experience required
  • Experience in coils or related manufacturing preferred
  • ASQC Certified is a plus
  • Working knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 certification preferred
  • Experience with Lean or six sigma methodology preferred
  • Experience with root cause corrective action preferred

Pay

The starting base pay range for this position is $69,581-$117,552 and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.

Schedule

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Occasional mobility required to attend in-person meetings and complete various office tasks. Work may be performed in company’s setting, home, or hybrid.
