PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates and manages Quality Alerts
- Develops and manages containment activity process
- Develops and leads sorting/rework activities
- Solves quality related issues using problem solving tools (8Ds, Fishbone, 5 Whys, etc.)
- Responsible for data collection and analysis
- Develops Control Plan and reviews
- Ensures adherence and drives improvements into the Quality Management System
- Responds and interacts with customer on complaints and other customer quality related activities
- Completes Measurement System Analysis (MSAs)
- Affords assistance to team with Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) reviews
- Supports change management activities
- Mentors and trains Associate Quality Engineers
- Supports APQP/PPAP activities
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Passion for automotive engineering
- Green belt certification and demonstrated experience completing 8Ds, Fishbone, 5 Whys and other problem-solving tools
- Demonstrated experience in the completion of Measurement System Analysis (MSAs)
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and capability requirements
- Understanding of critical characteristics
- Self-motivated and team-work spirit
- Confident and willing to deal with problems and new tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Strong attention to detail
