Key Accountabilities
- Cook up and execute quality control objectives and activities to tackle production issues, enhance product reliability, and cut costs.
- Design and put into action quality control strategies and audits of production and operations.
- Oversee PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) processes.
- Develop long-term corrective measures via root-cause analysis using 8D/A3 methodology.
- Investigate non-conformances, including customer complaints and internal improvement opportunities.
- Carry out product inspections according to quality control plans.
- Provide accurate and timely data to management about quality concerns.
- Write and disseminate quality data and reports.
- Inform management about progress, developments, and pending problems.
Basic Requirements
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing engineering plus 3 years quality engineering experience with large industrial equipment or 7 years quality engineering with large industrial equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours or shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong grasp of the practical application of engineering science and technology, especially in the context of large industrial equipment.
- Deep understanding of quality control, raw materials, manufacturing processes, and cost management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interfacing effectively across all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated individual with strong initiative and teamwork skills.
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70, NEC, UL 2200, and CSA.
- Familiarity with plant operations and equipment.
- Understanding of MTU components and products.
- Knowledge of genset performance requirements.
- Experience with gauge and test equipment.

About the Role
This position ensures product quality using quality engineering tools and product inspections at the MTU factory or at strategic business partner locations.
