Quality Engineer
Primary Responsibilities
- Contract review of customer purchase orders to ensure full understanding and compliance with quality and engineering requirements and assessment of any associated risks.
- Review and approve of internal work orders to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Review and approve of procedure, work instructions and/or forms in compliance with industry and AS9100 standards.
- Internal auditing to AS9100 Rev D requirements and internal standard work.
- Collaborate with planning, outside processors, and customers to facilitate the creation and approval of controlled manufacturing plans.
- Aids in the implementation, and administration of other QA and company activities including: risk management, configuration control, training, auditing, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and preventative actions.
- Performs in-depth root cause, corrective and preventive actions using 5 Y’s other root cause analysis tools.
Required Education and Experience
- 5 years of experience in composite quality related roles.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Experience with composite materials and processing techniques such as autoclave, RTM, and compression molding.
- Excelling working knowledge of composites.
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to establish objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve these objectives.
- Understand, follow and adhere to corporate Quality Management System on a daily basis.
- Experience with contact and noncontact inspection methods.
- Experience with data acquisition systems to record temperature, position and pressure.
- Organized, self-motivated, strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Able to manage multiple duties, set priorities and follow tasks through completion.

Compensation
The compensation range for this position falls within $90,000 and $120,000. The final compensation will be determined based on experience, skillset, and other factors permitted by law.
