Responsibilities
- Ensure manufacturing operations and suppliers consistently meet or exceed customer, quality, and food safety expectations.
- Provide quality engineering leadership through the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of quality systems.
- Lead root cause investigations to reduce customer complaints and drive sustainable improvements.
- Drive complaint-related corrective actions and communicate outcomes to internal stakeholders and customers as appropriate.
- Analyze quality and test data using statistical methods to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct internal audits and implement quality system improvements.
- Collaborate with Quality teams across multiple facilities to ensure consistent quality practices.
- Ensure compliance with GFSI standards, prerequisite programs, and GMP requirements, and promptly escalate food safety concerns.
- Support supplier quality activities, including specification development, supplier qualification, and performance monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in related fields
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or related role
- Proficiency with quality tools such as corrective action, root cause analysis, and FMEA
- Strong analytical and statistical skills; Minitab experience preferred
- Working knowledge of BRCGS or other GFSI food safety standards
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel up to 15%
