About the role
Polaris Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide support and leadership for assembly operations teams at our Roseau, MN facility. The ideal candidate will manage quality processes, lead audits, and participate in root cause analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support Polaris quality initiatives and programs
- Lead and support Quality auditors and Technicians on assembly quality issues
- Participate or lead failure analysis, root cause and corrective action investigations
- Manage and report on internal process quality metrics; identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead improvement initiatives
- Communicate process issues/problems/concerns to Quality and Operations leadership
- Generate quality instructions and/or procedures as needed to contain quality issues or to assist with process validations
- Partner directly with the Operations teams to improve the use of measurement systems
- Conduct and/or support internal audits and product transfers as needed
- Perform process capability studies
Requirements
- Three (3) or more years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Process Engineering or equivalent field required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
- Ability to lead technicians in inspection methods for assembly quality processes
- Strong process improvement skills (Kaizen, Six Sigma, Control Plans, Print reading skills)
- Experience and knowledge of how to properly read and decipher GD&T
- Leadership experience with hourly employees
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently without supervision

Pay
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $73,000 to $96,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
