Quality Engineer

Job Duties

• Lead manufacturing quality processes for Youngstown and Brookfield facilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection guidelines for electrical products and components
• Aid with quality-related activities for the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Interpret and review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure alignment with customer and regulatory requirements
• Perform thorough inspections and tests of electrical products, components, and assemblies using specialized equipment
• Verify product performance, functionality, and reliability against specifications and design requirements
• Integrate customer and regulatory requirements into Panelmatic processes by preparing and executing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for quality failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure products meet all customer and regulatory requirements, address and resolve quality issues, and provide technical feedback to improve product design and manufacturing processes
• Coordinate and support customers during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) process

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in quality engineering in an electrical or electronics manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IPC, ISO)
• Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using measurement/testing equipment
• Experience with ISO-9001 quality management systems (QMS)
• Computer literate and experience working with ERP systems
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
• Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
• Alignment with company core values required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an ISO-9001 environment
• ISO-9001 lead/internal auditor certification
• Experience in Lean/Six sigma
• Certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, CQE (Certified Quality Engineer)
