Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer I is a key member of the Quality team. This role is integral to driving strong quality systems with high effectiveness. The Engineer I will work closely with customers to resolve issues, saving money in the process.

Responsibilities

• Identify and collaborate on customer issues
• Utilize root cause analysis tools to identify possible causes of issues and bring forth ideas to resolve
• Support quality standards (ISO9001, AS9100D, ISO17025, etc.) through participation in the quality system such as documentation, internal and external audits, calibration, etc.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure everyone is on the same page
• Participate in teams and projects throughout the site(s) which drive improvement in efficiency, yield, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or technical field required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a metals or materials production environment is preferred
• General knowledge of systematic quality management systems is required
• ETQ experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time is required
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite
• Effective communicator for groups of customers and employees
• Solution oriented
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Language: English
• Preferred: Ability to travel (10% or less)

• Occasionally stands, walks, stoops, kneels and crouches

Pay

$72,000-94,500*

*The salary range listed is a guide for this position and may vary depending on experience, education, geographic location, and other qualifications. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's individual merits and the company's compensation policies.
