Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve quality systems, data analysis, and customer interface.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Interact with frontline leaders and production employees for direction and leadership.
• Provide technical expertise to support and improve plant performance.
• Plan, execute, and document trial results for quality and process improvement.
• Develop and lead improvement programs around quality KPIs.
• Determine process and machine capabilities and continuous improvement programs using statistical methods.
• Interface with customers and vendors, lead investigations into customer complaints, and develop corrective action.
• Utilize process control methodology to solve problems and improve process control and capability.
• Support Product Development and Sales, and lead or participate in regional or global projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
• Six Sigma certification (green or black belt) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, preferably in paper or hygiene products.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, GMP, and microbiological testing methods.
• Independent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office Products.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
