Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure products conform to specifications and quality plans.
• Develop and implement Quality Plans and Work Instructions.
• Define inspection criteria, sampling plans, and quality standards.
• Perform first piece-inspections and in-process audits.
• Inspect welds and perform system and procedure audits.
• Support supplier audits and implement corrective actions.
• Design and implement test methods for purchased items.
• Lead cross-functional teams for compliance.
• Provide recommendations based on testing results.
• Audit purchased blowers at incoming inspection.
• Investigate defects, customer complaints, and internal failures.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and track quality KPIs.
• Resolve quality issues using DMAIC six-sigma methods.
• Reduce cost of poor quality.
• Ensure document control is followed.
• Participate in engineering change process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality manufacturing environments.
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Quality Engineer.
• General metrology skills.
• Desire for welding knowledge.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
• Ability to write reports and professional business correspondence.
• Preferred certification as a Certified Quality Engineer from ASQ.
• Ability to travel up to 10% if needed.
