Quality Engineer

About the role

This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lockport, New York on a full-time basis. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform early issue identification, tracking and resolution to ensure segment leadership.
• Provide clear and timely communication to Quality management relative to quality issues.
• Responsible for developing, testing, and creating quality solutions for medium level changes.
• Defect analysis resolution and verification for vehicle subsystem quality.
• Performs design reviews.
• Led launch and current production problem solving activities.
• Deploy quality work according to planned development timing.
• Work with the product team to identify and capture critical status updates for Quality reviews.
• Facilitate Quality Review meetings and maintain integrity of presentation materials.
• Support GPS Program Execution Team (PET) with quality analysis information.
• Analyze, project and track warranty and Customer survey information.
• Support the development of the global quality planning process and templates.
• Support external customer issues through problem resolution tracking system (PRTS) and supplier practical problem solving (SPPS).
• Build and cultivate relationships across multiple functions and regions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree with 2 years of equivalent manufacturing experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and off shifts, as needed by the business

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical (STEM) related field
• Strong understanding of quality processes and Global Manufacturing System (GMS)
• Experience with PRTS, SPPS

Pay

The expected base compensation for this role is: $71,300.00 - $109,400.00. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
