Quality Engineer
About the role
EnerSys Advanced Systems (EAS) is a specialized division of EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications. EAS focuses on cutting-edge energy solutions for the aerospace, defense, and medical industries. This role requires access to information or technology subject to ITAR regulations.
Responsibilities
- Technical unbiased voice to and from the customer regarding Quality matters and expectations
- Responsible for FAI, customer and government source inspections
- Create product and process quality plans
- Determine the controls on production devices directly affecting the quality of the product
- Review changes to the product, processes and materials
- Review Drawings (that include GD&T) and process instructions for accuracy, risk and completeness
- Aid in resolving Quality in-process issues
- Lead and/or facilitate the resolution of quality issues utilizing the 7 QC tools
- Maintain product/process performance for trends in efforts to prevent the generation of defective material or opportunities for improvement
- Support product development
- Administer internal and external quality and/or process audits
- Communicate with external providers to provide a clear understanding of the quality expectations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
- Familiarity with ISO9001 Quality Management System standard (AS9100 is a plus)
- Adept with standard measuring equipment
- Working knowledge of statistical process control techniques
- Working knowledge of 7 QC tools
- Experience in modern RCCA (root cause/corrective action) techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office
Qualifications
