Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality plans and manufacturing process plans.
• Conduct sales order reviews for quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain quality procedures.
• Lead preventative and corrective action efforts including QI Teams.
• Conduct internal and external quality audits.
• Assist in the Test Lab and in Inspection, including assessing and coordinating upcoming inspection requirements for Irvine and the Warren plants.
• Affirm and coordinate accuracy, reliability, and calibration integrity of dimensional inspection equipment.
• Maintain compliance with the requirements of ISO Standards.
• Travel required to the Warren plant as well as other Ellwood facilities.
• Provide support and training as required to insure compliance to established procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or technically related field.
• Familiarity with the requirements of ISO Standards.
• Ability to analyze large quantities of data and write technical reports.
• Strong Interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Personal Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel).
• Able to organize and prioritize work load.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Government/Military Specifications.
• Nondestructive testing (NDT) experience.
• Prior Supervisory or other Leadership Experience.
• Prior Testing and/or Quality Experience in the Metals Industry.
