Quality Engineer
About the role
Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is seeking a Quality Engineer at their Spokane Facility in WA. This position involves supporting data collection and basic statistical analysis, participating in root cause investigations, driving quality improvement processes, and assisting with various quality tasks.
Responsibilities
- Supports data collection and basic statistical analysis for process capability, yield, and scrap trends.
- Participates in root cause investigations by gathering information, organizing data, and documenting findings.
- Drives quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
- Provides expertise in production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for key quality improvements.
- Helps with the creation, review, and maintenance of Quality documentation, including inspection plans, work instructions, and checklists.
- Performs basic measurement system analysis (MSA) activities under supervision.
- Affords assistance with quality tasks such as nonconformance documentation, communication, and initial material review board (MRB) support.
- Helps update quality metrics, dashboards, and reports used for daily/weekly production reviews.
- Performs basic risk assessments and supports PFMEA/DFMEA documentation.
- Works cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve day-to-day quality issues.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in Root Cause analysis and Correction Action Management.
- Experience with Advance Quality Planning (preferred).
- Experience with Minitab (preferred).

Pay
The salary range for this role is $68,900 - $131,100 annually. RTX considers several factors when extending offers, including work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Schedule
This is an Onsite role, meaning employees will primarily work onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
