Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain compliance with IATF 16949 quality management standards
- Maintain and improve quality processes within heat treating operations
- Lead and support root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal and customer quality issues
- Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and internal defects
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and leadership to implement process improvements
- Conduct audits (internal, customer, and process) and support external audits
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and record-keeping of quality-related activities
- Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and defects
- Participate in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and control plan development and maintenance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred)
- Experience in Heat Treating or Thermal Processing
- Strongly Preferred: Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality requirements
- Experience with Quality Tools Such As Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.), FMEA, Control Plans, SPC
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both hourly employees and leadership
