About the role
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. It involves Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate product conformance through the execution, optimization, and validation of quality processes.
- Verify product and process conformance, root cause and corrective action analysis, nonconformance disposition, hardware acceptance planning, and design verification.
- Establish quality standards for products and processes and suggest modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final products.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, product management, and production, to identify and mitigate quality risks.
- Audit production processes, raw materials, or suppliers/vendors to ensure that established quality standards are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures.
- May be responsible for ensuring compliance with formal external quality standards, such as AS9100/ISO 9001.
- Apply technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
Requirements
- B.S. in engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Quality experience in production environment, preferably in aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs.
- Excellent communication skills, organized, attention to detail, and self-starter.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of metallic or polymer additive manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Nonconforming and MRB process.
- Knowledge of First Article Inspection per AS9102.
- Knowledge of SPC principles.
- Knowledge in Causal Analysis tools, including cause & effect diagrams, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), 5-why, fault tree analysis, etc.
- Relevant experience in transitioning a product from development, through production to operations.

Pay
Base Pay Range For WA applicants is $91,852.00 - $128,592.45
