What You'll Do As our Quality Engineer, you'll serve as a key partner to Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to improve product quality, strengthen supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you'll spend time both on the manufacturing floor and working directly with suppliers to solve real-world challenges. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain quality assurance plans, inspection methods, and quality standardsLead supplier qualification, onboarding, audits, and ongoing performance evaluationsInvestigate product quality issues, supplier concerns, and nonconforming materialsPerform root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, FMEA, and other structured problem-solving methodologiesImplement corrective and preventive actions that deliver lasting improvementsMonitor supplier performance metrics including PPM, delivery performance, and quality trendsSupport new product launches through PPAPs, First Article Inspections, and APQP activitiesManage supplier scorecards, inspection documentation, audit reports, and quality recordsPartner cross-functionally to reduce defects, improve processes, and enhance overall product reliabilityParticipate in internal and external quality audits What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical disciplineThree or more years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or supplier developmentWorking knowledge of quality tools including:8DFMEAPPAPAPQPSPCMSAExperience conducting supplier audits and driving supplier improvement initiativesKnowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systemsStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software Preferred QualificationsExperience with ERP or MRP systemsManufacturing experience involving aluminum fabrication, cast components, or truck and trailer products What Will Make You Successful We're looking for someone who:Enjoys solving challenging manufacturing problemsBuilds strong relationships across engineering, operations, purchasing, and suppliersTakes ownership and follows issues through to resolutionThrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentIs organized, analytical, and driven by continuous improvementCan manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout a manufacturing facility, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and kneelingOccasionally lift up to 20 poundsComfortable working in a production environment with varying temperatures and noise levelsAbility to travel occasionally to supplier locations as business needs require Why Aero?
