About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced QUALITY ENGINEER to act as liaison between company and customer with respect to technical or quality related issues. They will provide manufacturing and engineering support to resolve product quality issues and help correct or suggest improvements to the manufacturing processes while using 8D corrective action methodology. They will provide support to the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with current ISO standards including internal audits, maintaining procedures and forms up to date, and monitoring risk matrix.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated the ability to handle and maintain multiple projects at once and respond quickly and decisively to production support requests.
- Possess a working knowledge of industry standards ISO 9001:2015, IPC 600, IPC 610, J-STD-001, and is data driven to execute quality improvements and/or cost reductions.
Required Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing quality standards.
- Making sure quality performance is being monitored and analyzed.
- Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements to product.
- Investigating and solving product or production issues.
- Participating in continuous improvement team.
- Performing or participating in company audits.
- Providing IPC training/refereeing.
- Maintaining control of records, non-conforming materials, and calibration schedule.
- Supporting safety committee activities.
- Collaborating with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and management.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Required Education
A minimum Education of Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in a science or technical area/equivalent.
Other Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of industrial experience, preferable in high volume manufacturing, automation and quality principles.
- Will occasionally/frequently: stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift/push/pull to 25 lbs.
- We are ITAR Registered. Hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, located at our Camarillo, CA facility. Additional hours/days as required.
Pay Range
$72,000 to $100,000 annual salary.
