Quality Engineer - 3rd Shift

About the role

BAE Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Engineer in support of Combat Mission Systems operations on the 3rd Shift. In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a fast paced, heavy manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring requirements are met throughout either the fabrication processes on the AMPV Value Stream.

Responsibilities

• Ensure requirements are met throughout fabrication processes on the AMPV Value Stream

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline with at least two (2) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent
• Solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and principles
• Experience operating within ISO 9001 standards
• Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis (A3, DMAIC, etc)
• Proficiency in standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
• Able to support 3rd Shift

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ certification
• Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD
• Formal training in root cause analysis
• Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically complex product environment
• Experience with TipQA software
• Certified Weld Inspector

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $72,150 - $122,655. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.

Schedule

This position supports the 3rd Shift, 10 PM to 7:30 AM, on a 9/80 schedule.
