About the role
Townsen Memorial Hospital is looking for a Quality Coordinator to join their team in Houston, TX. The Quality Coordinator supports and advances quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Collect, enter, and validate quality and compliance data from multiple departments
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential electronic and paper filing systems
- Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc quality performance reports
- Review incident reports, track departmental follow-up, and ensure timely resolution
- Cook up documentation and logistics for audits, surveys, and accreditation readiness activities
- Monitor and track progress of action items related to quality improvement projects
- Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement
- Support development and implementation of corrective action plans in underperforming areas
- Provide staff education and training related to quality standards, reporting requirements, and documentation practices
- Format, maintain, and update quality documents, forms, and tools in alignment with policy
- Participate in department meetings, performance improvement committees, and staff development activities
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of healthcare terminology, compliance processes, and quality standards
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data in support of quality improvement efforts
- Effective verbal and written communication across departments and with external agencies
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to ethical conduct, teamwork, and patient safety
- Ability to maintain accurate, confidential records and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a health-related or relevant field
- Two (2) years of experience in an acute care or public health setting
- Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP-CMS) or must be obtained within one year of hire
- BLS certified or must obtain certification within 90-days of hire

Pay
Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
