About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to support quality management of the facility. This includes assisting with planning, coordinating, and directing the quality program to ensure quality control and quality assurance of processes consistent with established standards, measuring customer service, and driving continual improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quarterly and annual facility-wide training for all associates to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 standard.
  • Instruct others in continuous process improvements, including problem-solving and productivity techniques such as process mapping and time management.
  • Interpret quality philosophy to personnel within the facility.
  • Review completed training records and maintain a training matrix.
  • Assist with formulating and maintaining quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
  • Perform internal process audits and proficiency audits.
  • Perform all administrative duties related to the total quality management system and ISO processes, including filing and other clerical duties.
  • Update and distribute controlled documents.
  • Maintain and update the Internal Audit Schedule.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly updates for facility quality objectives and initiatives.
  • Keep the management team informed of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions taken to improve the situation.
  • Prepare and present statistical information to the management team (e.g., feedback from Quality Objectives, Risk & Opportunity, Corrective Actions).
  • Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or related training equivalent (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role with ISO 9001 (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to learn basic systems.
  • Familiarity with process mapping and basic quality processes (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Environment

  • Must be adaptable to a shared workspace with constant noise and potential lack of a private office.
  • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment around moving machinery.
  • Schedules may vary weekly based on business demands, potentially exceeding 40 hours with or without notice.
  • All injuries, regardless of severity, must be reported to a Supervisor or HR immediately.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to communicate verbally, read, comprehend information, and type on a consistent and daily basis.
  • Regularly required to travel by foot, golf cart, or other means of transportation, involving sitting, waiting, and standing for long or short periods.
  • Largely a sedentary role, but requires working in the warehouse to perform process and proficiency audits.
