Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and execution of the facility Quality Management System (QMS), including ISO 9001, GFSI, and/or other applicable certifications.
  • Maintain QMS documentation, records, and systems in alignment with internal and external requirements.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits; support audit preparation, execution, and follow-up activities.
  • Perform routine in-plant audits and environmental monitoring as scheduled.
  • Independently manage assigned elements of the QMS (e.g., pest control, document control, records management).
  • Support and, where appropriate, independently manage CAPA processes, including investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action, and documentation.
  • Assist with customer complaint investigations, including data collection, material review, and coordination of responses.
  • Monitor and track quality issues such as holds, returns, and non-conforming materials.
  • Assist in preparing internal and external quality reports for plant leadership and customers.
  • Perform product testing on samples, customer complaints, and competitive materials as required.
  • Maintain testing equipment and coordinate calibration activities in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting of lab and testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Manage quality lab supplies, including inventory control and ordering.
  • Work with product development and engineering teams to support quality requirements for materials, processes, and finished products.
  • Assist in maintaining control plans and ensuring adherence to customer specifications.
  • Support monitoring of inventory on hold, resale disposition, and quality-related material decisions.
  • Assist in training and development of Quality Technicians and plant personnel on quality standards and procedures.
  • Provide quality support in the absence of the Quality Manager, as needed.
  • Contribute to building a culture of quality awareness and accountability across the facility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or product safety.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and certification standards.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as root cause analysis, basic SPC, and auditing techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools.
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience working within a regulated quality system (ISO, GFSI, or similar) preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits, CAPA processes, and quality documentation systems.

Pay

Starting Salary: Wages ranging from $28.00 to $34.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, Day Shift (Flexible Hours).
