Quality Control & Training Specialist

Responsibilities

• Reviews previous day’s admissions, registrations, insurance notification faxes, and identifies and corrects all demographic information.
• Reviews required forms to ensure appropriate fields are checked, signed, timed, dated and witnessed.
• Records errors by registrar and provides report to manager.
• Verifies all ‘unable to sign’ patients and makes an attempt to obtain required signatures.
• Reports efforts in accounts to manager daily.
• Trains all new hires and or existing staff and completes competency for each area employee was trained.
• Provides competency and feedback to manager upon completion.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years hospital experience in registration, and or insurance verification.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to type with accuracy at a rate of 25-30 wpm.
• Ability to work well and remain calm in time of stress.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
