About the role
SRM Concrete, a national leader in ready mix concrete, is hiring Quality Control Technicians to help deliver top-quality products to their customers. The position is open to both experienced professionals and those just starting their careers in construction materials.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished ready mix concrete using industry-standard methods.
- Interpret test results and compare them to established specifications and control limits.
- Conduct visual inspections of concrete products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
- Deliver quality control training to production staff as directed by management or technical services.
- Maintain accurate records of tests, analyses, and quality-related activities.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to help improve our quality control processes.
Requirements
- Willingness to work variable shifts based on scheduled pours, including day and overnight shifts.
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply—we provide on-the-job training for those new to quality control or the concrete industry.
- ACI certification, or willingness to obtain it, is a plus.
- A degree in Materials Science, Concrete Management, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in quality control, quality assurance, or construction materials is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); experience with quality management software is a plus.
- Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Concrete Management, Construction Management, or related field.
- Previous experience in quality control, quality assurance, or construction materials.

Pay
Hourly pay with overtime after 8 hours, plus eligibility for bonuses and annual raises.
