Responsibilities
- Perform quality control testing on production batches and incoming raw materials according to established procedures.
- Analyze and document test results, identifying and communicating any out-of-specification findings.
- Conduct raw material testing and assist with placing non-conforming materials on hold when necessary.
- Maintain product retain samples, ensuring proper labeling, organization, and storage.
- Verify laboratory equipment calibration and report equipment issues or deviations.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
- Monitor laboratory supply inventory and assist with ordering materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Support ISO quality systems and laboratory safety procedures.
- Aid in additional laboratory projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another scientific discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience, preferably in quality control, analytical testing, or a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of standard laboratory practices and quality assurance principles.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and laboratory safety procedures is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based laboratory systems (LIMS experience is a plus).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including lab coat, gloves, and safety glasses.
