Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, in-process, and final dimensional inspections on tightly tolerance piece parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies in the production area.
  • Perform Quality Process Assessments.
  • Perform required inspections in accordance with procedures and planning documentation.
  • Perform required inspections using standard measurement instruments.
  • Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience working with government contractors.
  • SMI (Standard Measuring Instruments) experience.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
  • Excellent shop math skills and advanced trigonometry.
  • Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement/PES techniques.
  • Good computer skills - MS Office suite.
  • Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, climb ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical strengths in processing, operations, and inspection.
  • Ability to plan and organize work to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work multiple programs while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to record detailed information accurately, timely, and follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills and effective interface with Mission Assurance department members, suppliers, customers, and personnel across the organization.

Schedule

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $63,000.00 - $74,000.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
