Quality Control Technician II

About the role

This position ensures that products meet specific standards and specifications. Quality technicians will focus on monitoring, inspecting, and testing finished product to ensure consistent quality. Using drawings and blueprints, technicians will verify that each completed unit conforms to design parameters. Additionally, Grade 2 quality control technicians will be responsible for small repairs on hydraulic reservoirs using a Dynasty TIG welding machine. Grade 2 technicians must reconcile completed units to engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure unit conformance and specifications.

This is a safety-sensitive position due to operation of motor vehicles, forklifts, equipment, machinery, or power tools, or involvement in repairing, maintaining, or monitoring manufacturing processes where malfunction could result in injury or property damage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections on finished products.
• Perform testing on units to ensure compliance with company standards and product specifications.
• Perform small repairs as needed, including TIG welding on hydraulic reservoirs.
• Record and report findings, including defects, non-conformances, or deviations from quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and identify corrective actions.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to confirm accuracy and reliability.
• Review and approve product batches based on inspection and test results.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding quality control.
• Provide feedback and training to staff on quality control practices.
• Assist with the development and implementation of quality standards and guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• 1–2 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Prior experience with industry-standard quality control processes and equipment is required.
• Strong understanding of testing methods, measurement systems, and inspection techniques.
• Proficiency in using quality control tools and basic computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of quality management systems.
