Quality Control Technician I
This position must be based in Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.
About the Role
As a Quality Control Technician I, you will perform and support the testing and documentation needs of the Quality Control Department during the manufacture and release of Bio-Rad control products. This position will work both independently and in a team-oriented environment on the second shift with hours of 3:00pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot QC laboratory instruments.
- Follow good laboratory practices.
- Order supplies and maintain instrument preventative maintenance schedule.
- Interface with other departments when required.
- Evaluate assay runs for accuracy and acceptability to Quality Control procedures.
- Enter results into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) as required.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in a science field or equivalent clinical lab experience.
- Experience working in QC or a clinical laboratory is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Experience in the use of clinical laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Experience in running chemistry, hematology, and immunoassay analyzers is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required.
- Experience with a LIS is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, remain flexible, manage time effectively, and work independently.

Pay
The estimated hourly rate for this position is $23.13 to $31.78 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on several factors including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, dependent upon achievement of individual objectives and Company performance.
Schedule
Second shift: 3:00pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday.
