Location: Covington, GA • Duration: 7 Months • 40 hours/week • Pay rate: $20–$25/hr • 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

About the Role

This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of products processed for Interventional Access Systems (BAS Kitting) at the Covington, GA facility. The QC Technician will ensure that all procedures, inspection protocols, and specifications are adhered to in accordance with client product requirements and meets visual, physical, and/or dimensional requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality control inspections on product and/or components in accordance with internal plant SOPs and Product Specifications.
  • Accurately prepares inspection paperwork and result documentation.
  • Verifies documentation of product lot records to ensure compliance with Bard’s product specifications and good documentation procedures.
  • Prepares MRR/Rejection Notices (where appropriate).
  • Utilizes sampling plans to determine inspection levels for routine quality inspections.
  • Trains on all applicable procedures as they relate to the Quality Technician role.
  • Participates as needed as a quality representative for small team activities for process improvements.
  • Cross-trains to provide quality control coverage as needed in support of business needs/strategies.
  • Serves as a Champion of Quality in the execution of the QMS.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a regulated environment (ISO, FDA).
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers with basic keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to utilize measurement equipment (calibrated rulers & weights, calipers, etc.) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Strong decision-making skills; ability to reason and make sound decisions.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Problem Analysis, and Root Cause Investigation.
  • Understands Quality sampling plans and can read and interpret AQL inspection plans.
  • Experience performing quality inspections in process or within a lab environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Education or equivalent (entry-level position).
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must read and interpret sampling plans.
  • Ability to perform basic math problems; basic aptitude test required.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Must meet with other personnel in other areas of the building.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Work Environment

Employee primarily works in an office setting but is occasionally required to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
