Quality Control Technician
About the role
Walbec Group produces high-quality construction materials and offers professional design, engineering, and construction services through its six companies: Payne and Dolan, Northeast Asphalt, Zenith Tech, Parisi, Premier Concrete, and Construction Resources Management. Based in the Midwest, Walbec specializes in projects such as bridge construction, shoreline stabilization, structure rehabilitation, and site engineering for solar installations.
Responsibilities
- Test materials like concrete and asphalt
- Take measurements and document results
- Ensure construction projects meet strict quality standards
- Work outdoors at various project sites throughout Upper Michigan
- Lift up to 50+ pounds regularly
- Work flexible hours to accommodate construction schedules
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to lift up to 50+ pounds regularly
- Basic math skills (training provided)
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- High school diploma or GED preferred (but not required for the right person)

- Technical skills in testing materials and measurements
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
