About the role

As a Quality Control Technician, you will ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards by performing inspections, testing, and final acceptance checks before they reach customers. The role involves troubleshooting issues, maintaining accurate documentation, and partnering with teams like engineering and manufacturing to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Final Acceptance activities to ensure the service process is followed on all service devices.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and testing, prepare reports on findings, and document potential issues or corrective actions.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Work with other teams (manufacturing, engineering, etc.) to identify and resolve quality issues, and provide training on quality procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and suggesting process changes.
  • Serve as an integral part of the team performing technical service and customer support.
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings, seminars, and training sessions to maintain professional competence.
  • Ensure all department compliance guidelines are met and adhere to evidence-based standards of medical care through existing policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer-focused interactions.
  • Perform all duties necessary for the department as per policies and procedures, including other responsibilities delegated by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years in a quality/technical position assisting with product maintenance and/or customer service.
  • Minimum two-year technical degree and/or industry-related work experience/training.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Fast learner and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and perform multiple tasks.
  • Able to work in a regulated (FDA/ISO) environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

Physical Demands

  • Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
  • Typically, employees sit comfortably to perform work, with brief periods of standing, walking, bending, or carrying papers and books.
  • Extensive use of computer terminals and keyboards.
  • Required to sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard.
  • Some work (less than 5%) requires moving and lifting heavy networking equipment.

Working Conditions

  • Predominantly operates in an office environment.
  • Willingness to work in varying conditions.
