Quality Control Technician
About the Role
We are looking for an ACI‑certified Quality Control Technician to join our Rosenberg, TX plant. As a Quality Control Technician with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will ensure quality control of batching, mixing, and delivering high‑quality ready‑mixed concrete that meets project specifications and customer expectations. This role requires travel to monitor quality standards and perform testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform QC tests (air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, set time, water‑cement ratio, strength).
- Calibrate production and testing equipment.
- Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
- Record and communicate test results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers.
- Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete to identify quality issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- ACI certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of QC experience within a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and math skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
