About the role

Precision Concrete Construction, Inc. constructs challenging concrete projects throughout the Southeast. Founded in 1986, the company operates on diverse projects in market sectors such as retail, healthcare, entertainment, institutional, airport, heavy industrial, and multifamily.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate reinforcing prior to third-party inspection and communicate changes with crew Foreman, ensuring changes are made correctly.
  • Pre-check reinforcing/PT prior to third-party inspections to ensure compliance with structural drawings.
  • Communicate with rodbuster subs, third-party inspectors, and Precision Supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Follow all company policies and MSHA & OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environmental best practices.
  • Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
  • Perform job tasks in accordance with industry best practices and equipment requirements (lifting, carrying, sitting, walking, and climbing).
  • Maintain quality of work in accordance with design document standards.
  • Ensure effective communications and coordination between the company and the design engineer for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Work at heights, including walking and climbing ladders.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

  • 2 years of construction experience.
  • Ability to read structural, rebar reinforcing, and PT drawings.
  • Willingness to travel out of town.

Work Environment

The role involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration. Occasionally, the employee may encounter wet/humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually very loud.
