Quality Control Technician

Precious Plate is hiring a Quality Control Technician to join our overnight team. You will be responsible for the testing and disposition of finished goods in accordance with PPI & ISO/TS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and testing of plated products according to requirements
• Testing using X-ray Fluorescence equipment, Comparator, Toolmaker’s microscope, micrometers, and verniers
• Final product release; take appropriate action on non-conforming materials
• Address deviations, make decisions, and communicate them to the QA Supervisor
• Catalog and store material retention samples in accordance with work instructions and practices
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions
• Ability to identify and communicate quality problems to supervisor
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others
• Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours per day, occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer knowledge
• Manual dexterity for job functions

Working Conditions

• Regularly works with chemical solutions
• Environment may have high temperatures depending on ambient conditions
• Safety glasses, steel or composite toe boots, and hearing protection required
• Other PPE may be required depending on responsibilities
• Exposure to background noise, odors, or dust
