Quality Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test or measure products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications
• Notify production supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting the issue
• Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators and maintenance technicians to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to quality
• Assist and facilitate rework activities
• Maintain a safe and accident-free environment by adhering to safety standards and identifying safety issues and reporting them to his/her supervisor or the safety manager

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, two-year degree or equivalent preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be detail oriented and have basic math skills, necessary computer skills that includes spreadsheet and database software experience
• Previous experience using basic measurement equipment preferred
• Internal candidates cannot have more than 3 ½ points in attendance, written documentation OR any work rule violations within the last 12 months
• PkMS and SAP experience preferred
• Experience with injection, structural foam, or rotational plastic molding preferred
• Basic knowledge of PPAP preferred

Pay

The Virginia base pay rate for this position is $20.50 per hour. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
