Quality Control Technician

About the role

A Seafood processing and cold storage company in Burlington is seeking a Quality Control position for fresh/frozen crab and fish. The position is full-time, year-round, and based locally at their plant in Burlington. There is no travel to Alaska and no working on a boat.

Responsibilities

• Pass a basic math test
• Good handwriting
• Attention to detail
• Supervisory or leader mindset (6 months recent experience in warehouse, quality control, food processing, packing, meat cutting, or assembly line preferred)
• Work from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday year-round, with occasional overtime and Saturdays during busy seasons
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a sometimes wet and cold environment
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of typically 2 hours at a time between breaks and up to 10 hours a day (on overtime days)
• Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test

• At least 18 years of age

• No prior seafood, processing, or quality control experience is necessary if you meet the job requirements and are dependable and willing to work

Schedule

• Working hours are generally 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday year-round
• During busy seasons, there may be additional overtime hours and sometimes Saturdays
• Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week
