Quality Control Technician

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow and provide directions.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings (Tool Box Talks).
• Show a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.
• Report to the assigned job site in proper work attire ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Adhere strictly to all Safety Practices & Procedures.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the book of company policies.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses using various analytical instruments and techniques.
• Prepare and standardize chemical solutions, reagents, and samples according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of experimental data, observations, and results.
• Absorb and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and procedures.
• Clean the lab working area after completing job tasks and dispose of debris properly.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Education And/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to work with general tools and build prototypes with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

Job Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment screening and testing.
• Strict Adherence to safety requirements, procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) policies.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Must be able to carry, lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, based on project needs and demands.
