Quality Control Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, final, dimensional, mechanical, electrical, and functional inspections of materials, components, assemblies, and vendor-supplied products.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, hardness testers, radius gauges, and portable CMM equipment such as a ROMER Arm.
- Identify, document, investigate, and support resolution of nonconforming materials and quality issues, including participation in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Conduct quality inspections and supplier surveillance activities at various facilities and locations.
- Absorb and assist with audits, assessments, and investigations of quality processes to evaluate compliance with applicable standards, regulations, customer requirements, and company procedures.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions to prepare accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and quality-related assignments as directed.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in quality control and CMM inspection.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Electrical knowledge.
- OEM-specific knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of experience with CMM and GD&T, particularly with metals.
- Experience with FARO arms and FARO Cam 2 software.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
