About the role
The Quality Inspector I is responsible for inspecting and testing products to ensure compliance with established quality standards, engineering specifications, and operational requirements. This role supports quality assurance activities throughout the product lifecycle, contributes to continuous improvement efforts, and helps maintain the highest standards of product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of products and components to verify compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
- Conduct incoming inspections of supplier-provided materials and products.
- Perform RMA (Return Material Authorization) inspections and evaluate returned products for defects or discrepancies.
- Execute shipping inspections to ensure products meet quality standards prior to customer delivery.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and test procedures.
- Document and maintain accurate inspection records, test results, and quality data.
- Identify, segregate, and reject non-conforming material in accordance with established procedures.
- Use precision measurement tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Analyze inspection data and perform calculations to determine compliance with product requirements.
- Communicate findings and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to resolve issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality process enhancements.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0-2 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, production, or a related environment.
Skills

Pay
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Schedule
This is a fully onsite, contract position based in Lake Forest, CA, with potential for future direct-hire opportunities based on performance and business needs.
