Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and maintaining the inprocess workflow for batch inspection
- Check for upcoming batches requiring testing
- Perform physical testing of batch samples per the Product Specification Sheet
- May include appearance, color, odor, pH, viscosity, specific gravity, and temperature testing
- Perform pH or color adjustment calculations as needed
- Record inspection results in CMS
- Communicate with different departments on batch inspection failures
- Organize the retention of batch samples and standards
- Work with R&D and Process Engineering when batch troubleshooting is required
- Calibrate shared laboratory equipment including pH meters, balances, UV/VIS spectrophotometers, and viscometers
- Prepare reagents and solutions to support testing activities
- Auxiliary tasks include assisting in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with SOPs, cGMP, and cGDP requirements, participating in laboratory investigations and customer complaint reviews, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment
- Perform other duties as assigned as part of a collaborative QC team
Requirements
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements or a strong desire to learn
- Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline with 0-1 years of laboratory or related experience
- Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline with 1-3 years of laboratory or related experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4-14 years of laboratory or related experience
